Stay Alive poster.jpg

The film opens with a character in a video game entering an eerie mansion. As the character explores, he is unknowingly stalked throughout the mansion by a woman in a blood red dress. When he notices the woman approaching him he attempts to flee up the stairs of the mansion, but the red-clad woman knocks him off the staircase banister, and the character is killed when he is hung by a chandelier chain.
The player of the game, Loomis Crowley (Milo Ventimiglia), quits playing and calls his friend Hutch (Jon Foster) to see if he would come over and play the new game with him, revealed to be Stay Alive. Hutch tells him that he is not in the mood right now, and they will get together that weekend to play and the friends hang up. Loomis goes upstairs and finds his room-mate having sex and tells them he found them dead in the game. Loomis' room-mates brush it off and he leaves to bed. Loomis is woken up by a strange nightmare and goes downstairs for a snack. He is confronted by an unknown assailant and runs back upstairs only to find his room-mate slaughtered, with the walls bloodied. He backs away horrified and a chain is clasped around his neck and he is knocked off the staircase banister and hung on the chain, the same way he died in the game.
The next day at work, while talking with his boss and friend, Miller (Adam Goldberg), Hutch receives a phone call informing him that Loomis is dead. At the funeral, Loomis' sister, Emma, gives Hutch a bag containing some of Loomis' possessions, including some video games, as well as Stay Alive, where it is revealed that Hutch was adopted by Loomis's parents. At the funeral, a blonde girl named Abigail (Samaire Armstrong) introduces herself as a close friend to Loomis's room-mate, and they part on good terms.
After the funeral, Hutch goes to an internet cafe owned and operated by his girlfriend and best friend, October (Sophia Bush), and her brother, Phineas (Jimmi Simpson). Hutch hands October the bag containing Loomis' possessions, and Phineas eventually finds the video game, Stay Alive which they decide to play as a group that night.
That night, another friend of Hutch, Swink (Frankie Muniz) arrives at Hutch's house, followed shortly by October, Phineas, and Abigail and they begin setting up their gaming equipment to play Stay Alive. Later, when everything is ready, they start up the game, with Miller playing online from his office. To start the game, the players recite a passage, "The Prayer of Elizabeth", during the game’s intro, which they say out loud (voice-recognition game), surprised by the game's advanced technology. After a few hours of gaming, in which October realizes that spirits in the game cannot cross wild roses, Miller’s character is stabbed in the throat by the same woman in red who had killed Loomis. The group then decides to call it a night, but as Miller prepares to leave his office, his joystick drops down the table. As he goes to pick it up, he is killed in the same way as his character.
When Hutch returns to work the next day, he is informed of Miller’s death and questioned by two detectives, Thibodeaux and King. Afterwards, he returns to the Internet cafe, joining his friends, while Phineas is playing the game, where he notices that the woman in red hates mirrors. Phineas' seeming insensitivity over Miller and Loomis' deaths cause the rest of the group to leave, while Phineas continues the game. While talking with the group, Hutch makes connections between the deaths of Miller and Loomis and their characters and runs back to the cafe to stop Phineas from playing. When they arrive they find Phineas, instead getting high, having paused the game before he was killed.
After doing some research, Hutch calls everyone together to reveal he knows how people are dying. October then says she believes him and reveals all she knows about Elizabeth Bathory, the woman from the game. Bathory would drain young women of blood, bathing in it to maintain her youth, and could not stand to look in a mirror as she hated to see herself grow old. Hutch then notices Phineas' absence. As Phineas drives to meet with the others, a spirit appears in front of his car causing him to stop onto the side of the road. The group calls him and learn of his situation, telling him to stay there and that they will come and get him. Shortly after the call, however, he is run down by a bizarre horse-drawn carriage.
Arriving at the scene, the group mourns the death of their friend. Thibodeaux and King arrive on the scene, and King decides to play Stay Alive, despite Hutch's attempts to stop him. Thibodeaux informs Hutch of his connections to the murders and that he is becoming a suspect. In the game, King's character’s jaw is ripped in half before Hutch can shut the game off. October, Hutch, Swink, and Abigail all decide to find a way to put an end to the games curse. Later, while investigating the game himself, King goes to a local game store, but finds no information. He goes to his pick-up truck, only to see a horrified spirit in the back mirror, which rips his jaw open and kills him.
Hutch and Abigail decide to go to Loomis's house, where Hutch reveals to her his fear of fire, stemming from his father murdering his mother by setting their house of fire with her asleep inside, and he almost was burned in the fire, and was then adopted by Loomis's parents. They find the address of Stay Alive’s developer, Jonathan Malkus (James Haven) hidden in Loomis' computer. They proceed to go to his mansion, and, assuming no one is home, they go in. While exploring the house, finding dolls of Bathory and a black carriage in the barn, they are confronted by Malkus. They explain to Malkus the deaths and their connections to his game. He is shocked about the events and tells them that the game is based on the legend of Elizabeth Bathory. He sends them to a local author who wrote a book about Bathory called The Lady of Blood.
Hutch and Abigail meet the author in a cafe and she tells them the legends of Elizabeth Bathory. They learn that she was walled up in the tower on her plantation as punishment for her gruesome acts, vowing to one day return and seek revenge on all men, women, and children, by her hand. Abigail inquires as to whether or not Bathory could be summoned and the author rebuffs her, telling them both that she hopes they know better than to toy with the evil spirit of the undead Elizabeth Bathory.
Meanwhile, October and Swink are doing investigating of their own. October calls Hutch and informs him the only way to kill The Countess is by burning her body, after first trapping her soul in her body by driving three nails into her: one in her heart, one in her throat, and another in her head. Swink then announces, after seeing a newscast, that detective King is dead, and that the group are now suspects. They all flee, meeting at Loomis’ house to formulate a plan to stop Elizabeth Bathory.
October goes outside to smoke and sees Bathory in a house under construction. Entering the house alone, she tries to confront the Countess in revenge for the death of her brother. Grabbing a nail gun, she attempts to fire the nails in The Countess. Unfortunately the nails must be put into her physical body and not her spirit. October attempts to flee but The Countess clasps her ankle with a chain and lifts her up, slitting October's throat. The others arrive to late, with Hutch cradeling Octobers body, mourning inconsolably. After they leave, Hutch informs Abigail and Swink of his belief that, by reciting "The Prayer of Elizabeth", they inadvertently summoned her vengeful spirit.
They all decide to investigate inside Malkus’ mansion with Swink deciding to stay behind and play the game as both a distraction for The Countess, and as an aid to the others. Hutch and Abigail go inside the mansion, where they find various clues about The Countess, revealing that Malkus's house is actually the Bathory plantation. Swink also reveals, through testing, that whatever happens in the game will happen in the real world. Abigail finds Elizabeth's diary in a secret room, revealing it is full of the names of all the girls Elizabeth killed in her lifetime. The spirit of Bathory traps Abigail and is about to kill her when Hutch saves her with the help of Swink via the game.
Meanwhile, as Swink plays, he realizes that the Countess is after him, and she is cheating, since he hasn't died in the game. He starts to run, chased by the carriage, and lands in the bushes, and Bathory steps out, seemingly killing him. After a run-in with The Countess’ black carriage, which they survive by collecting several wild roses, Hutch and Abigail locate Elizabeth’s altar in a large Mausoleum, which leads them to an underground entrance to Bathory's black tower. After escaping from several spirits of Bathory's victims and then Bathory herself they arrive at the door to the tower. Hutch enters and suddenly, the door slams shut leaving Abigail trapped. Hutch panics and tries to open the door, but she pleads with him to go ahead, as The Countess closes in on her. Hutch leaves her with a rose to protect her, and proceeds on without her.
When Hutch reaches the top of the tower, he finds The Countess' body completely preserved. He hammers in the nails, trapping her spirit in her body just as she is about to kill Abigail. Now back in her body, the Countess attacks Hutch. He uses the reflective surface of his laptop as a mirror, showing The Countess her reflection, which drives her mad. Hutch then manages to set The Countess on fire, but is trapped in the room as it begins to go up in flames and his fear of fire begins to overtake him. As all seems lost, Swink and Abigail burst into the room carrying a small rose bush, Swink having survived due to stumbling into the roses while being chased by The Countess. The three of them then proceed to leave the plantation as Elizabeth's body burns.
In a video game store, it is shown that Stay Alive is being released. An employee takes a copy, puts it in the PlayStation 2, and as the game begins the group reciting Elizabeth's prayer is heard.

Download Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Prince of Persia poster.jpg

After witnessing an act of bravery in the marketplace of the royal city, the street urchin Dastan is adopted by King Sharaman, becoming a prince of Persia. Years later, the grown Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) spearheads an attack on Alamut, which the king's brother Nizam (Ben Kingsley) has accused of selling weapons to Persia's enemies. During the battle, the city's princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) is captured and Dastan acquires a strange dagger. During a banquet, Dastan gives Sharaman a cloak as a gift and after he declares Tamina Dastan's future wife the cloak apparently burns him to the touch and kills him. Dastan is framed for murder but narrowly escapes from Alamut with Tamina, evading the king's high-born sons Garsiv (Toby Kebbell) and Tus (Richard Coyle). After being attacked by Tamina, Dastan finds that the sands within the dagger's hilt allow him to rewind time by a minute and retain knowledge of what happened before. While going to Avrat for Sharaman's funeral, the two encounter a shady merchant called Sheik Amar (Alfred Molina), and Dastan encounters Nizam, who pretends to be sympathetic to Dastan's plight. At their meeting, Dastan sees Nizam's hands burned and realizes in horror that his uncle had murdered Sharaman. Dastan escapes from an ambush with the princess, but Nizam secretly sets a group of Hassansins, corrupted Persian warriors, on their tail, while Tus had sent the angry Garsiv and some men to find Dastan.

As they are on the run, Tamina tells Dastan about the dagger's origins: the gods had decided to sweep mankind from the earth with a great sandstorm because of their sin. But a young girl pleaded with the gods and convinced them to withhold their wrath. The sands from the storms were stored in a great hollow crystal called the Sandglass, with the dagger, called the Dagger of Time, being the only thing that could break the crystal. The Sandglass was hidden beneath Alamut with Tamina's family, descended from the young girl who saved mankind, as its guardians. It is shown that Nizam orchestrated the siege of Alamut so he could hunt for the Sandglass and use the sands to change an event in his youth where he saved Sharaman from a lion, thereby ensuring Nizam would become king.

Seeing that the sands’ release would destroy the world, Tamina is willing to return the dagger to the place where it was given, giving her life in the process. They reach the dagger's resting place in the Hindu Kush, after being captured by Sheik Amar, but are ambushed by soldiers under the command of Garsiv. Dastan manages to convince Garsiv of his innocence, but the Hassansins attack, take the dagger from Tamina and kill Garsiv. Together with Sheik Amar, his Umbakan guardian Seso and his retinue, Dastan and Tamina head back to Alamut. After retaking the dagger from a Hassansin, who had promptly ended Seso's life, Dastan uses it on himself in front of Tus, showing him the power of the dagger and his own innocence. But Nizam arrives, kills Tus and takes the dagger, leaving Dastan to die. Tamina saves him and they go down into the catacombs of Alamut.

After confronting and defeating Zolm, the Hassansin leader, Dastan and Tamina arrive in the chamber of the Sandglass as Nizam stabs it, starting the release of the sands. When they reach him, Nizam attacks them, and Tamina, who has grown to love the prince, sacrifices herself to give Dastan his chance. Dastan manages to remove the dagger from the Sandglass, preventing the apocalypse, then time is rewound to just after the siege of Alamut, undoing all the events he has lived through. Dastan manages to find his brothers and expose Nizam of his treachery, who attacks Dastan in a rage and is soon killed by Tus.

As an apology for the ransacking of her city, Tus suggests that Dastan and Tamina are married as a goodwill pact. As they converse afterwords, Dastan hints at his knowledge of the dagger’s power and says he looks forward to their future together.

Download Bruce Almighty

A man with the world attached to his finger by a piece of rosary
Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) is a television field reporter for WKBW-TV in Buffalo, New York, but desires to be the news anchorman. He is passed over for the promotion in favour of his co-worker and rival, Evan Baxter (Steve Carell). He rages during a live on-air interview which leads to his suspension from the station. He is then hit by a series of misfortunes including being assaulted by a gang of thugs, and crashing his Datsun 240Z. Bruce complains to God that He isn't doing His job correctly for him.

In response, Bruce receives a message directing him to an empty warehouse where God Himself (Morgan Freeman) appears. He first doesn't believe that He is God, until He pulls a trick to have 7 fingers on his hand and showing his personal file from a cabinet that goes for a mile. God offers Bruce His role to be God to see how God's job is tough, and tells him that he cannot tell anyone that he is God nor use the powers to alter free will, while God Himself will take a "vacation" from His work.

Bruce is initially jubilant and uses his newfound abilities for personal gain, such as impressing his girlfriend Grace Connelly (Jennifer Aniston) (including using an invisible rope to pull in the moon and create a romantic backdrop, unknowingly causing a tsunami in Kitamoto City in Japan as a result), taking revenge on the gang that assaulted him, and getting his job back, exchanging his Datsun for a Saleen S7, enlarging Grace's breasts, creating spectacular events while reporting on field (like locating the body of Jimmy Hoffa, creating a meteor blast right next to a festival which he is reporting), or making his dog use the toilet.

Also, Bruce also exacts revenge against Evan, by altering the prompter to create awkward and illogical texts, making him fart, enhancing his voice to a really high pitch and forcing him to make gibberish sounds. This results in Evan being sent back to his reporting job and Bruce being installed as the new anchor. To celebrate, Bruce invites Grace out to the restaurant that they went to on their first date. Grace believes that he will propose to her and is very disappointed when he only informs her of his promotion.

Bruce begins hearing voices in his head that (at first) he cannot understand. God explains that the voices are prayers meant for God that Bruce must deal with. He also confronts Bruce on using his powers for personal gain and not for helping people. Bruce decides to try to help people and orders for all the prayers to become documents in drawers, which causes over 50 drawers to appear in his room. He also tries small notepads, but over a million appear in his room, so he sets a computer and an email system to respond, but after over millions of emails show up, he saves time by automatically responding to each email with Yes, without regard for consequences.

When Grace arrives at the party celebrating Bruce's promotion, she finds Bruce and his co-anchor Susan Ortega (Catherine Bell) kissing, after she had forcefully come on to him. Grace flees and Bruce follows her, but she refuses to believe it was a misunderstanding. As Bruce looks around, he realizes that the city has fallen into chaos due to his actions, since everybody in Buffalo has won the lottery, resulting in everyone winning only $17. Bruce returns to God and asks how people can all act this way after he gave them what they wanted. God gives Bruce some words of wisdom: "If you want to see a miracle, be the miracle." Bruce returns to his computer and unplugs the prayer system. He then resigns his job and proceeds to help people without using God's powers.

Grace's sister Debbie (Lisa Ann Walter) stops by to retrieve her things and sees how Bruce has changed. She informs him that every night Grace prays, and that usually it's for him. Bruce reactivates the prayer computer to search for Grace and finds many prayers asking for his success and well being. As he reads them, another prayer from Grace arrives, asking not to be in love with Bruce anymore.

Saddened, Bruce walks alone on a highway in a thunderstorm. He asks God to take back His powers and to remove his fate from his own hands. Bruce is suddenly struck by a truck and, upon regaining consciousness, finds himself in a white void (presumably Heaven). God appears, and asks Bruce what he really wants; Bruce says that he only wants to make sure that Grace finds a man who makes her happy.

God agrees to this situation, and Bruce finds himself miraculously alive, bruised and bandaged in the hospital. Grace arrives and the two rekindle their relationship, later becoming engaged. After his recovery, Bruce returns to field reporting, but now takes more pleasure in the simple stories and interviews after realizing what his thoughts were.

The da vinci code final.jpg

Louvre curator and Priory of Sion Grand Master Jacques Saunière is fatally shot one night at the museum by an albino Catholic monk named Silas, who is working on behalf of someone known only as the Teacher, who wishes to discover the location of the "keystone," an item crucial to the search for the Holy Grail. After Saunière's body is discovered in the pose of the Vitruvian Man, the police summon Harvard Professor Robert Langdon, who is in town on business. Police Captain Bezu Fache tells him that he was summoned to help the police decode the cryptic message Saunière left during the final minutes of his life. The note also includes a Fibonacci sequence left out of order, as a code. Langdon explains to Fache that Saunière was a leading authority in the subject of goddess artwork and that the pentacle Saunière drew in his own blood represents an allusion to the goddess and not "devil worship", as Fache believes.

A police cryptographer, Sophie Neveu secretly explains to Langdon she is Saunière's estranged granddaughter, and that Fache thinks Langdon is the murderer, because of the note her grandfather left saying to "find Robert Langdon," which she says Fache had erased prior to Langdon's arrival. Sophie is troubled by memories of her grandfather's involvement in a secret pagan group. However, she understands that her grandfather intended Langdon to decipher the code, which she and Langdon realize leads them to a safe deposit box at the Paris branch of the Depository Bank of Zurich, which Sophie and Langdon go to after escaping the police. In the safe deposit box they find the keystone: a cryptex, a cylindrical, hand-held vault with five concentric, rotating dials labeled with letters that when lined up properly form the correct password, unlocking the device. If the cryptex is forced open, an enclosed vial of vinegar ruptures and dissolves the message, which was written on papyrus. The box containing the cryptex contains clues to its password.

Langdon and Neveu take the keystone to Langdon's friend, Sir Leigh Teabing, an expert on the Holy Grail. There, Teabing explains that the Grail is not a cup, but the tomb containing the bones of Mary Magdalene. The trio then flees the country on Teabing's private plane, on which they conclude that the proper combination of letters spell out Sophie's given name, "SOFIA." Opening the cryptex, they discover a smaller cryptex inside it, along with another riddle that ultimately leads the group to the tomb of Isaac Newton at Westminster Abbey.

During the flight to Britain, Sophie reveals the source of her estrangement from her grandfather, ten years earlier. Arriving home unexpectedly from university, Sophie clandestinely witnesses a spring fertility rite conducted in the secret basement of her grandfather's country estate. From her hiding place, she is shocked to see her grandfather making love to a woman at the center of a ritual attended by men and women who are wearing masks and chanting praise to the goddess. She flees the house and breaks off all contact with Saunière. Langdon explains that what she witnessed was an ancient ceremony known as Hieros gamos or "sacred marriage".

By the time they arrive at Westminster Abbey, Teabing is revealed to be the Teacher for whom Silas is working. Teabing wishes to use the Holy Grail, which he believes is a series of documents establishing that Jesus Christ married Mary Magdalene and bore children, in order to ruin the Vatican. He compels Langdon at gunpoint to solve the second cryptex's password, which Langdon realizes is "APPLE." Langdon secretly opens the cryptex and removes its contents before destroying it in front of Teabing. Teabing is arrested by Fache, who by now knows that Langdon was innocent. Bishop Aringarosa, realizing that Silas has been used to murder innocent people, rushes to help the police find him. When the police find Silas hiding in an Opus Dei Center, he assumes that they are there to kill him, and he rushes out, accidentally shooting Bishop Aringarosa. Bishop Aringarosa survives but is informed that Silas was found dead later from a bullet wound.

The final message inside the second keystone leads Sophie and Langdon to Rosslyn Chapel, whose docent turns out to be Sophie's long-lost brother, whom Sophie had been told died as a child in the car accident that killed her parents. The guardian of Rosslyn Chapel, Marie Chauvel Saint Clair, is Sophie's long-lost grandmother, and the widow of Jacques Saunière. It is revealed that Sophie is a descendant of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene. The Priory of Sion hid her identity to protect her from possible threats to her life.

The real meaning of the last message is that the Grail is buried beneath the small pyramid directly below the inverted glass pyramid of the Louvre. It also lies beneath the "Rose Line," an allusion to "Roslyn."

Finding Nemo.jpg

Two ocellaris clownfish, Marlin and his wife Coral, are admiring their new home in the Great Barrier Reef and their clutch of eggs. A Barracuda eats Coral and knocks Marlin unconscious. He wakes up to find Coral and all but one of the eggs missing. Marlin names this last egg Nemo, a name that Coral liked.

Nemo develops a small right fin due to damage to his egg from the attack, which limits his swimming ability. After Marlin humiliates Nemo during a school field trip, he sneaks away from the reef and is captured by scuba divers. As the boat departs, one of the divers accidentally knocks his diving mask overboard. While attempting to save Nemo, Marlin meets Dory, a good-hearted and optimistic regal blue tang with short-term memory loss. Marlin and Dory encounter three sharks: Bruce, Anchor and Chum in an old minefield. Marlin discovers the diver's mask and notices an address written on it. When he argues with Dory and accidentally gives her a nosebleed, the blood scent causes Bruce to enter a feeding frenzy. The pair escape from Bruce but the mask falls into a trench in the deep sea.

During a hazardous struggle with an anglerfish in the trench, Dory sees the diving mask and reads the address located in Sydney, Australia. After receiving directions to Sydney from a school of moonfish, Marlin and Dory encounter a bloom of jellyfish that nearly kills them. Marlin loses consciousness and wakes up to see a sea turtle named Crush, who takes Dory and him on the East Australian Current. Marlin shares the details of his journey with a group of young sea turtles, his story is spread across the ocean, and he finds Nemo in Sydney.

Nemo's captor - P. Sherman, a dentist - places him in a fish tank in his office on Sydney Harbour. He meets aquarium fish called the Tank Gang, led by a moorish idol named Gill, who has a broken fin. The Tank Gang includes Bloat, a puffer fish; Bubbles, a yellow tang; Peach, an ochre starfish; Gurgle, a royal gramma; Jacques, a pacific cleaner shrimp; and Deb, a blacktailed humbug.

The fish learn that Sherman plans to give Nemo to his niece, Darla, who once killed a fish by constantly shaking its bag. Gill reveals his escape plan, which involves jamming the tank's filter, forcing the dentist to remove the fish in order to clean it. The fish would be placed in plastic bags, and they would roll out the window and into the harbor. After a brown pelican named Nigel brings news of Marlin's adventure, Nemo jams the filter, but the dentist installs a new high-tech filter.

Upon leaving the East Australian Current, Marlin and Dory are engulfed by a whale. Inside the whale's mouth, Dory communicates with the whale, which carries them to Port Jackson and expels them through his blowhole. They are met by Nigel, who recognizes Marlin from the stories he has heard and takes them to the dentist's office. Darla has arrived and the dentist is giving Nemo to her. Nemo tries to play dead to save himself as Nigel arrives. Marlin sees Nemo and believes he is dead. Gill helps Nemo escape into a drain. In despair, Marlin leaves Dory and begins swimming home. Dory loses her memory and becomes confused, but meets Nemo, who reached the ocean. Dory's memory is restored after she reads the word "Sydney" on a nearby drainpipe. She guides Nemo to Marlin and reunite. Dory is caught in a fishing net with a school of grouper. Nemo enters the net and directs the group to swim downward to break the net, enabling them to escape. After returning home, Nemo leaves for school and Marlin, no longer overprotective, proudly watches Nemo swim away with Dory at his side.

At the dentist's office, the high-tech filter breaks down and the Tank Gang escapes into the harbor, belatedly realizing they are still confined in the bags of water.

The film opens with the creation of the 1984 commercial for Apple Computer, which introduced the first Macintosh. Steve Jobs (Noah Wyle) is speaking with director Ridley Scott (J. G. Hertzler), trying to convey his idea that "We're creating a completely new consciousness." Scott, however, is more concerned at the moment with the technical aspects of the commercial.

The film then flashes forward to 1997 as Jobs, who has returned to Apple, is announcing a new deal with Microsoft at the 1997 Macworld Expo. His partner, Steve Wozniak (Joey Slotnick), is introduced as one of the two central narrators of the story. Wozniak notes to the audience the resemblance between "Big Brother" and the image of Bill Gates (Anthony Hall) on the screen behind Jobs during this announcement. Asking how they "got from there to here," the film turns to flashbacks of his youth with Jobs, prior to the forming of Apple.

The earliest flashback is in 1971 and takes place on the U.C. Berkeley campus during the period of the student anti-war movements. Jobs and Wozniak are shown caught on the campus during a riot between students and police. They flee and after finding safety, Jobs states to Wozniak, "Those guys think they're revolutionaries. They're not revolutionaries, we are." Wozniak then comments that "Steve was never like you or me. He always saw things differently. Even when I was in Berkeley, I would see something and just see kilobytes or circuit boards while he'd see karma or the meaning of the universe."

Using a similar structure, the film next turns to a young Bill Gates at Harvard University, in the early 1970s, with classmate Steve Ballmer (John DiMaggio), and Gates’ high school friend Paul Allen (Josh Hopkins). As with Wozniak in the earlier segment, Ballmer narrates Gates' story, particularly the moment when Gates discovers the existence of Ed Roberts' (Gailard Sartain) MITS Altair (causing him to drop out of Harvard). Gates' and Allen's early work with MITS is juxtaposed against the involvement of Jobs and Wozniak with the Homebrew Computer Club, eventually leading to the development of the Apple I in 1976 with the help of angel investor Mike Markkula (Jeffrey Nordling). The story follows the protagonists as they develop their technology and their businesses. At a San Francisco computer fair where the Apple II computer is introduced, Gates (the then-unknown Microsoft CEO), attempts to introduce himself to Jobs, who snubs him. This is followed by the development of the IBM-PC with the help of Gates and Microsoft in 1981.

It also follows Jobs' relationship with his high school girlfriend (Gema Zamprogna) and the difficulties he had acknowledging the birth and existence of their daughter, Lisa. Around the time his daughter was born, Jobs unveiled his next computer, which he named, The Lisa. The Lisa was then followed in 1984 by the Macintosh, a computer inspired by the Xerox Alto. The main body of the film finally concludes with a birthday toast in 1985 to Steve Jobs shortly before he was fired by CEO John Sculley (Allan Royal) from Apple Computer.

It also includes a brief epilogue, noting what happened afterward in the lives of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. The film ends in 1997 with Steve Jobs returning to Apple after its acquisition of NeXT Computer, and Bill Gates appearing live via satellite at a MacWorld Expo in 1997, during Jobs' first Stevenote keynote address, to announce an alliance between Apple and Microsoft.

Download 500 Days of Summer

On January 8, Tom Hansen meets Summer Finn, the new assistant to his boss. Tom trained as an architect but works as a writer at a greeting card company in Los Angeles. Following a karaoke night, Tom's friend and co-worker McKenzie reveals that Tom is attracted to Summer. During the next few months Summer and Tom grow closer, despite Summer's telling Tom that she does not believe in true love, and does not want a boyfriend.

Tom shows Summer his favorite spot in the city, which overlooks a number of buildings he likes, although the view is spoiled by parking lots. After several months of dating, Tom gets into a fight with a man who flirts with Summer, and they have their first argument. On day 290, Summer and Tom end their relationship after they see The Graduate, a film which Tom thinks shows true love. Tom does not take the breakup well, and Tom's friends call his younger sister, Rachel, to calm him down. Summer quits her job at the greeting card company. Tom's boss moves him to the consolations department, as his depression is not suitable for happier events. Months later, as Summer and Tom attend the wedding of their co-worker Millie, they dance at the wedding and Summer catches the bouquet. They sit next to each other on the trip home, and Summer invites Tom to a party at her apartment. He attends the party expecting the two to rekindle the relationship, but instead spends most of the evening alone drinking (unlike his expectations of the evening where Summer spends all her time with him, which is shown in split-screen alongside the reality) until he spots Summer showing off an engagement ring and realizes what kind of party it is, at which point he leaves close to tears. Tom enters a deep depression, only leaving his apartment for alcohol and junk food. After a few days, he returns to work with a hangover and after an emotional outburst, quits his job. He decides to rededicate himself to architecture, makes a list of firms, and begins to attend interviews.

On day 488, Summer sees Tom at his favorite spot in the city, and they talk. Tom states his lack of understanding towards her actions. Summer explains that he was right about the existence of true love and that she discovered in someone else all the feelings she had never been sure about with Tom. Summer holds Tom's hand. She says she is glad to see Tom is doing well. As she leaves Tom tells her he really hopes she is happy.

Twelve days later, on Wednesday, May 23, he attends a job interview and meets a beautiful girl who is also applying for the same job. They talk, and Tom learns she shares his favorite spot and dislike for the parking lots. Before entering the interview, he makes a date to have coffee with her afterwards. He asks her name, and she replies "Autumn", at which point Tom breaks the fourth wall to look straight at the audience. Just before the credits begin, the animation that includes the number sets back to one.
